Mathew
Founder / Director of Design and Creativity
The son of artist parents who met in Boulder, Colorado, Mathew has always been intrigued by the way art interacts with the world. Raised in Pittsburgh, he developed the blue-collar work ethic and strong family values that still drive and guide him today.
A student of architecture, mathematics, and business, Mathew has always worked to improve and appreciate the world through the dual lenses of designer and entrepreneur. His days are spent pursuing his passions alongside a team of dedicated friends, family, and professionals. In his free time, Mathew enjoys music, design, and Colorado’s inspirational outdoors. He currently resides in Colorado’s Front Range with his wonderful girlfriend, Ruth, and his beloved pets Max, Sherman, and Digby.
Mike
Director of Sales
From the Pittsburgh area, Mike moved to Denver, Colorado in 1999 to be closer to his brother who had relocated prior. With sales experience in various industries, ranging from transactional to consultative, he has the background to identify strategic market opportunities, resulting in mutually beneficial engagements. Mike lives in Denver with his wife Denise and three kids, Mikey, Adalynn and Jacob. They enjoy cooking, playing, exercise, the outdoors and spending time together as a family.
Ryan
Partner
Ryan is an experienced attorney representing sophisticated organizations in energy, natural resource, and corporate matters. He advocates on behalf of his clients in litigation, legislative reform, and through a network of professional organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys sharing all things Colorado with his wife.
Ruth
Partner / Design Consultant
A Colorado native, Ruth is the keystone of the Vection organization in many ways. She is enormously generous and passionate, staying personally involved with many social and charitable issues and directing the company’s efforts in these areas.
Ruth’s creative mind is regularly involved in manifesting interior design, furniture restoration, clothing design, performance arts, as well as prop and costume design and fabrication. The success of these passions led her to launch Ginger Work Shoppe in 2017 as a platform to display her craft and abilities. Her established career in fine wine goes hand in hand with her interests in the culinary arts, nutrition, travel, music, and art. Ruth and Mathew live outside of Boulder and spend their free time designing and taking long hikes with their dog.
Michael
Director of Operations
Michael earned his B.A. in Accounting with a focus on Entrepreneurial Studies from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA prior to embarking on a successful careers in both accounting and pharmaceutical sales in the greater Pittsburgh area. This would provide the groundwork for the experience he would need to spend the last 9 years as regional sales manager for one of the countries premier medical software and device companies. Michael spends his time enjoying the outdoors and open water boating on lake Michigan with his young and growing family, including a beautiful wife, twin boys, and young daughter.
James
Director of Business Development
James earned his B.S. in Business Management & IT prior to starting a successful career in Enterprise sales in the Northeast. For the last two years, James has dedicated his career to a pre-IPO Tech Unicorn as part of the team responsible for delivering 250% sales growth year over year, while contributing even greater value to his clients. He brings a challenger and growth mindset to all his endeavors. James spends his down time with his wife, son and daughter, while also volunteering as a football coach for a local school district.
Bryan
Industrial Design / Project Manager
Bryan has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial design from Metro State University of Denver. He finds inspiration in experimental and unique design concepts, and has experience in furniture design, soft goods, functional public art and model making. When Bryan is not climbing, biking, hiking, rafting, cooking and dancing with his spectacular wife, he is conceptualizing how products can affect the human behavior and perspectives for good.
Nathan
Marketing Director
Nathan is a retail industry veteran with a master’s degree in marketing and instructional design from the University of Denver. He spends his free time writing music, playing tennis, walking his two pugs, and exploring the world of wine with his wife Natalie.
Patrick
Manufacturing Consultant
Patrick is an entrepreneur with over 13 years of manufacturing experience. He has consulted both corporate and academic institutions, like Precision Castparts Corp. and Oregon State University Engineering, respectively, in their products design for manufacturing flows. His expertise in physical & virtual design, engineering, material selection and LEAN manufacturing has proven Patrick an influential resource in driving concepts to prototypes with scalability for his customers.
In 2016, Patrick made the transition to the financial industry, specifically as a residential mortgage loan officer. Taking the problem solving and analytical skills honed in manufacturing, he is dedicated to helping families achieve their goals of homeownership as part of a team of brokers focused on building community in the greater Portland area.
Patrick is an active sports & outdoor enthusiast, currently residing in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two young children.
